FAQ
Answers to the questions users ask most often. Thanks for downloading Daili.
This page is a translation of the Italian version.
Is Daili an official app?
No, Daili is not an official app and is not promoted or sponsored by any company. It does not replace your carrier’s own site in any way, which you should still consult.
How does Daili handle my data? Is it safe to enter my credentials?
Yes. Your carrier credentials are encrypted on the phone, Android’s automatic backup is turned off for the app and they are never saved in any cloud: the only place they are ever sent is your carrier’s own site, to sign you in. There is no Daili server that receives or keeps them. You will find full details on how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
I bought the Pro version, how do I add a widget now?
To add a widget, normally, you need to press and hold on your device’s home screen and select Widgets. Then scroll until you find “Daili” and press and hold the widget you want, dragging it onto the home screen.
The app does not show my SIM’s usage in real time
Your SIM’s usage is downloaded from your carrier’s site, which does not update it in real time. It can take a few minutes for the actual usage to show up.
The widgets do not work and do not update
If a widget stops responding or seems stuck, try the following:
- remove the widget and add it again
- set a higher refresh frequency, e.g. every 30 minutes
- remove and reinstall the app
If the widget still does not update after that, contact the developer from the app’s Settings, then “Support & Feedback” — but keep in mind that a widget only updates under your carrier’s own 4G network, because your credentials are encrypted. Unfortunately, if you use a VPN under 4G there is no way to know whether you are actually on the carrier’s own network, so the widgets will not update; this cannot be worked around without asking for further permissions, so VPNs are not supported for now.
How can I top up my SIM from the Daili app?
Unfortunately you cannot, because topping up a SIM needs very sensitive data such as your card details, and since Daili is an unofficial app it will never be able to support that.
Can I manage more than one SIM with Daili?
Yes, with Pro: you can add several accounts and switch between them from the account menu. Accounts added with a username and password work on any network. Passwordless automatic sign-in, on the other hand, only works for the SIM you are currently using and only under the carrier’s own network: an account signed in that way cannot be reopened from another SIM or over Wi-Fi.
I have already bought Daili Pro — will I have to pay again in the future?
No. Daili Pro, today, is a one-time in-app purchase: whoever has already bought it keeps it for good, on every device signed in to the same Google Play account, with nothing further to pay.
I am not satisfied and I would like a refund
If you are not satisfied with the app you can request a refund yourself, within a few hours of the purchase, from Google Play. Past that deadline, and within 30 days of the purchase, go to the app’s Settings, then “Support & Feedback” and state that you are requesting a refund, without deleting the information already present in the email, otherwise the refund cannot be processed (the order code that must not be deleted looks like GPA.XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX and is essential to identify the transaction). Your request will be handled as soon as possible.
The app crashes or has problems, how do I report them to the developer?
The developer receives all of the app’s crashes in real time, so they already know about them, but if you would like to describe your problem more precisely, go to the app’s Settings, then “Support & Feedback”, and send the email describing your problem without deleting the information already present in the body of the email.
After I have listened to a voice message the notification is not removed, why?
Unfortunately, after you have listened to a voice message, Android will keep reporting that a message is present, because of restrictions imposed by the carrier. To remove the notification you have to either remove the message (by pressing and holding it) or listen to it from your actual voicemail.
I would like Daili to add a feature, how do I suggest it to the developer?
Every new feature or idea is welcome; to suggest one, go to the app’s Settings, then “Support & Feedback”, and send the pre-filled email.
Daili shows the wrong renewal date, how is that possible?
The renewal date Daili shows is not wrong, because the one on the official site refers to midnight. If, for example, your plan renews on 26 September at 00:00, then your thresholds are valid until 25 September at 23:59, which is why Daili shows one day earlier.
I cannot sign in, not even with a username and password
Remember that to sign in with a username and password you must not be under a 4G network. If you still cannot sign in, keep in mind that the carrier’s servers can be unavailable for a while. Try again later.
I want / no longer want to receive beta versions of the app
You can start (or stop) receiving beta versions of the app by registering for (or cancelling your registration from) the app’s download page on the Play Store, as shown in the picture below. Beta versions can be unstable, because they contain features still being tested and are released to a subset of users. Receiving them lets you use the latest features and give the developer feedback to improve them!

How do I check whether I am also receiving beta versions of the app?
You can open the app’s download page on the Play Store and scroll down (see the previous answer).
